Engineering mechanics

What is engineering mechanics? and it's types.

Mechanics:
The branch of physical science that deals with the state of rest or the state of motion of bodies is known as mechanics.
                              Or
Mechanics is the branch of physical science which deals with the force and their effects on the body on which they act.

Engineering mechanics:
It is the branch of applied science which deals with the law and principal of mechanics along with their applications to engineering problems.

Types of engineering mechanics:
It may divided into following two main groups -
                  1.Statics
                  2.Dynamics

1.Statics: statics is the branch of engineering mechanics which deal with the force and their effects, while acting upon the bodies at rest.

2.Dynamics: dynamics is the branch of engineering which deal with the force and their effects, while acting upon the bodies at rest.

It can be further classified into two types -
                 1.Kinematics
                 2.kinetics

1.Kinematics: it is the branch of dynamics which deals with the study of bodies without considering the force acting on them. It deals with the space-time relationship of the motion of a body.

2.Kinetics: it is the branch of dynamics which deals with the study of motion of bodies by considering the force acting on them.
